Lil’ Flip is a Multi-Platinum recording artist from Houston, TX that has sold over 20 million records worldwide. He is known for his singles “The Way We Ball,” “Game Over,” and “Sunshine.” Also known as Flip Gate$, Flip started his musical career as a freestyle battle rapper before signing his first record deal in 1999 with the independent label, Suckafree Records. After the release of his debut album, The Leprechaun, he was brought under the wing of hip-hop legend DJ Screw and crowned “The Freestyle King.”

Aside from Lil’ Flip’s success in music, Lil’ Flip has also championed the cause of both children in his community and children worldwide throughout his career. Through his “Art Over Drugs Movement” campaign, Lil’ Flip teaches children how to express themselves through paintings, which can be sold for profit as an alternative to selling drugs.

Over the years, Lil’ Flip has shared his experience with the world and has been continually recognized for his actions. He was honored with “Lil’ Flip Day” on March 3, 2013 in the city of Port Isabel, Padre Island Texas for recognition of his impact on the Port Isabel & Padre Island Economy. In 2015, Lil' Flip published a book titled, “Don’t Let The Music Industry Fool You,” in an effort to provide the world’s youth with a step-by-step handbook that explains potential pitfalls within the music industry.

Currently, Lil’ Flip humbly spends his time in Houston working with the community that has supported him for so long. He employs several hundred residents and works behind the scenes on impactful community projects with Monica Shaw, President of the Bayou Terrace Civic Club. In order to continue making a positive impact on students, Lil’ Flip plans to continue his hard work to educate the youth while growing the Kinglife Family.
